Placer High School Learning Commons

The project includes the construction of a new two-story academic building, which will house a kitchen, dining room and cafe, entry lobby, career center for student support services, classrooms and meeting rooms for student read/study and tutorial space, as well as a learning commons area.

Construction consists of structural steel, metal decking, base plates and anchor bolts, and spray fireproofing. There will be a set of steel learning stairs with poured in place concrete. The building envelope will consist of roofing, exterior skin and stairs, and a balcony.

Twining is providing materials testing and special inspection services in accordance with DSA standards. Our scope includes testing the following construction materials:
