Riverpark – The Collection & The Landing

The Riverpark is an $800 million mixed-use project in Oxnard, California. Essentially a “mini city,” Riverpark is the largest of its kind in Ventura County history. Featuring over 1,000 apartment homes, dozens of retail shops and restaurants, hotels, and more, Riverpark has completely revitalized the north Oxnard area.

Riverpark – The Collection:

The Collection is a 600,000 square-foot, open-air, specialty center located in the Riverpark community. Built around a village-like grid of retail streets, The Collection hosts a wide variety of emerging and established designer shops, fine dining establishments, and signature entertainment venues. Tree-lined streets, lush but water-wise landscaping, playful fountains, pocket parks, outdoor seating areas, plazas, and paseos all work together to create a classic but casual environment.

Twining provided geotechnical and quality control services for the construction of all the structures at The Collection. This consisted of oversight during pad re-certification and installation of utilities, pouring of reinforced concrete foundations, structural steel erection, welding of metal deck, placement of concrete over metal deck, reinforced masonry, as well as associated inspections during the placement of epoxy dowels, embeds, and anchors.

All inspections and tests were in accordance with local building code requirements.

Riverpark – The Landing:

The Landing consists of constructing a senior housing, two 4-story hotels, six 1-story retail/restaurant stores, and associated parking, flatwork, and hardscape. Twining provided the geotechnical report during the design phase of this project. During the construction phase, Twining continued to provide geotechnical engineering services, as well as materials testing and inspection services.
